I recomend going with a older car or truck. Its alot cheaper on insurance.
And if any thing breaks you can go to a junk yard or salvage area for parts for a car.

I don't think buying a used car is a good idea. Used cars are usually over priced for their age and performance. They're unreliable and if they break down you just lost yourself a bundle of money. Insurance isn't cheaper for older cars. I strongly recommend you don't get any parts in the junk yard. They are there for a reason.

Not all people are looking for just 'something to get around'. Some people want a little style. I bather buy a new car and know I'm secure and have some style rather then buying a junky car and worrying about it's parts.

Going with a "newer" car makes sense if you can afford it. But, buying a new car doesn't seem to make a whole lot of financial sense. You lose thousands in depreciation the moment you drive it off the lot. Buying a slightly used 1-2 year old car is the way I'd go. You'll still get the factory warranty as well.

Ah, an 'older car'. I thought he was talking about used cars. I feel a little dumb now. I don't mind older cars, as long as they're not used. I've seen problems with a lot of used cars. But sure, buying an 4-5 year old car isn't half bad. I'm sorry I misunderstood this topic for a moment.
