Can't find my CD key.

Hi,

last year I uninstalled CS:S from my desktop, but now I've re-installed it back onto my (new) computer. The problem is, when I go to "play Counter strike: source", it takes me to the Steam homepage. In short, I have to activate it using the CD key, but I lost it ages ago, thinking I wouldn't need it again.

I've tried to access my original account, but I still can't play the game. Can anyone help, or will I have to buy another CD?
