I need some information or helpful advice on creating more guns for this game. We will run them on our server. Goal is a new buy menu to have these and a few new ones for T and CT. I will not share what guns we will be using, but It will be worth it. Please do not spam this topic or comment on it if you don't have anything helpful to add. Please do not repost, just use the edit portion so we do not have a lot of stuff to go through.

Oh you can. Gonna be hard, but not as hard as I think. I am trying to work with some programmers that do addons and such to make an expansion of CSS. Like a CSS 1.5 or CSS X or something that would possibly include :
-More guns
-More players (add another one for each side?)
-Addons for guns that do not have a secondary ie. right click to switch Ak to have a drum instead of a banana mag. Which would make you walk slowerish.
-Medic
-Updated skins
-Glass you can fall through and run through for maps along with other realism addons
-New menus
-Built in bank systems
We really want to bring this game a little more life. It will be free to play on servers that have this obviously, but I do not know about for servers. If we get donations for the time spend on this then it would be free. This is in the brainstorming stage, but we do have some of this stuff already done or being worked on. Let me know what you guys think? Is this something that interests anyone?

I play on the niche side of C:SS. I focus on one skill that I continue to master
I don't usually venture onto other mods/plugins.

I don't quite understand what you mean, but it wouldn't really change the game play to much.

I play scoutzknivez only, which you may or may not know is a very small area of C:SS.

Ya I know it. I know of just about every 1. The one we are trying to do isn't just a few changes to a server, it's more of something that will be added to the game itself.

The only way to accomplish what you are speaking of is to use SDK to create a thirdparty game based on the source engine. This has been done severla times over some have even created one that tries to fix the hitbox issues in CSS. However here is the one flaw you have overlooked. In order for people to play your new weapons buy menaus and models they would need to play your thirdparty game. Which means they would need to download install and then play which would also mean that is it NOT CSS its your thirdparty game. The big issue here is that only those people playing your thirdparty game would be able to see your server. Your also talking about a major major amount of work and effort just for a different guns and some new skins. Why don't you just create new gun models and new server models and call it a day. It's impossible to alter the existing guns or create new weapons within CSS as it would require the client to have these same changes made. Since CSS does not have this capability your only option would be the thirdparty mod as I have discussed above this.

Ya I have learned a lot of this since the post. Making a 3rd party game wouldn't be a problem, only time consuming. We are actually only able to do about half of what I listed with the game we play now though. As far as using different skins for weapons or people we do not, and will not do it. Zblock and league playing takes that away. Yes the server can have different skins, but it makes it that much more a pain to download when joining the server for the first time. Besides that has absolutely nothing to do with what we wanted. We want more guns. Not the same guns that look different. Thanks for the input though.
