I don't know if you yanks know about this, but World Youth Day (WYD for short) is causing 'chaos' in Sydney, Australia. Supposedly, 500,000 pilgrims are going to go to mass in a racecourse with the Pope. They are all then going to be tirelessly entertained until late where they will all sleep under the stars. That's right. Five hundred thousand people are going to sleep in one venue. Can you imagine the chaos? Although it is a Christian gathering, I can safely say I know not all Christians are genuinely Christian. Mind you, I get this impression from a first-hand experience.

Not only the one mass, yet in the days leading up to the event, schools, houses, and most available public locations will be used to sleep and feed the pilgrims. I know for a fact that 300 pilgrims will be sleeping in the classrooms of my high school. Even still, if on the actual WYD, as trains and buses will be packed full of pilgrims, regular train-goers are demanding more rail services to their standard location. The state government is going psycho.

Even more so, Premier Morris Iemma of New South Wales has put in place a new law where people can be given an ON THE SPOT FINE for ANNOYING pilgrims. That is absolutely pathetic. I get annoyed tons of times a day by people, yet I don't go to the police and ask them to be fined. This whole thing is driving me nuts. I apologise if you are a World Youth Day supporter or if you, yourself are a pilgrim, yet this is the way I think and even though I am a Christian myself, I am against World Youth Day.

And did I mention that apparently, a 35 year old person is considered "youth?". A 35 year old is accepted to all world youth day events.
