whenever i try to start up css when i almost get to the main menu it exits me out and theres this box that says engine error and under it it says "platform error: module failed to initialize. Whats the problem?

this is happening due to a missing or corrupted file, what you have to do is find this folder...

program files>steam>steamapps>{your steam name}>counterstrike source

in this directory, find the folder "cstrike" delete that folder, restart steam, and rerun css.
