It depends on the trend on what the other team is doing. If you are a CT, and the T's are always rushing, counter-rush. It will catch them off guard. If you are a CT and the T's always camp, stick together and slowly and carefully approach a side of the map. (Personally, I like going Front Office). If you are a T and the CT's are always rushing, camp Projector Room and wait for the CT's to rush in and try to rescue the hostages. If you are a T and the CT's camp, you can feel free to camp also! (The CT's will get annoyed if the round runs out of time as when the clock reaches 0, the T's win). You can also rush from as many different points as possible, yet I would recommend the camping idea.
In all, as a T, camp, and as a CT, slowly press forward (I wouldn't call it a rush) unless absolutely neccessary.

cs_Office is probably the best mad ever. next to Hacienda, which has the best graphics in the game !!!!
On T I love rushing through snowman and just kill everyone from behind with a silencer on a gun. Preferably the M4 which i pick up after i get kills. The highest i've gotten on one round was 6 kills through snowman rush. It's only good if you are the only one, since people will easily notice and fall back.
On CT it's just best to take your time through office. Then through long hall, side hall, and then T spawn.
That's probably why I love CT. you always gain entrance to rooms and never have to fall back like T's

I got 7 kills in a round before on office...
By rushing on T with a knife out and got in the corner to the right of the garage door if you are coming out from CT spawn...
I was crouched with a knife...
Waited until i didnt hear footsteps...
Put the sliencer on a M4 (Killed a CT round before)
Came up from behind and headshot 4 people...
I had one health left and killed 3 people

If you rush in there, The other team might not be ready, and you could get a few cheap kills. Thats what i do, And suprisingly, It works.

| which is a more affective strat, camping or rushing? I normally play t, but this also applies to ct. |
Hey guys,
New to the forum, but not to CSS. Particularly, this is one of my favorite maps to play. Overall these are the best strategies I have seen used and used myself in both scrims, or just for fun in pub servers.. I also prefer being CT, because it is more difficult. Therefore my strategies for that are more detailed.
T: Garage
I suggest having 1-2 people hold long hall, and the rest of the team rush garage. 1-2 people camp backway window and not proceed into garage, but try and hold the CTs from moving through main hall to double doors. The rest of the team should be rushing garage full on, and circling back around behind the remaining CT's that are trying to get up long hall into hosties or to the double doors. You can pin them fairly easy in the bathroom and main office by keeping them busy with snipers in long, and people camping the window. Then they get hit from behind...
CT: This depends on what the T's are doing
A - T's are camping.
If the T's are camping repeatedly each round I suggest 1/2 the team go garage, and the other go main office. The front yard/main office crew shouldn't all go to the same entrance. 1-2 go stairwell, 1-2 go box to window, 1-2 go backwindow, that way if someone gets picked off you can get a general Idea of where the fire is coming from if u glance at names and see where it was they went and died. That way u can kill the T easier...
Then you can move up and approach long haul by both main office hall, and someone creeping up to the bathroom which makes it harder for a sniper to shoot at people entering the hall from 2 spots. You can usually take long pretty easy that way and force them back to spawn.
The Garage team should rush as fast as possible to get to the big door first. Again half should go back stairwell, the others backyard, and work your way up using both paths. You can again identify where a T is if someone dies, and it also makes it hard for snipers to shoot at both the edge of the stairwell, and the corners of the boxes and they usually fall back..
Once you trap them in Spawn/Projecter/Paper, you can enter their spawn from main hall and double doors and they will have to be spread out to guard each door. Its still difficult to get in, but its easier than everyone going to one entrance. If the server rules allow it, a cheap way to get a win is you can rescue the main spawn hosties, and try and nade the other two through spawn side, because u only need 2 to win a round. It pisses people off, but if they are camping heavily this will surely open them up.
B - T's Rushing Garage/Office
If the T's are rushing garage hard. A full on CT Garage rush is in order. 1-2 maybe go front stairwell and office window to occupy a few T snipers and make sure there aren't a few comming behind u that way. But you cant keep going office to long hall and let them either get you from behind or snipe you from back window when u have the hosties trying to outrun the rushers. You're either dead or lucky, and dead more often.
IF they are rushing with para's, P90s and annoying you with spray and you keep losing. Do what they do when they camp. Lag back a bit with a few snipers in CT spawn (scout's or a few good rifle users), and rebuy a few nades and launch them at the door. You can hold them off for a good few minutes rebuying nades. And hopefully, the 2-3 guys you sent office can move past main hall, bathroom and sneak up on them at back way and get there attetion turned around. If u get them boxed rush hard with flashes from garage and do the best you can. I'd also send your best players on the team office because they will be solo, and with T's camping back window regularly on rushes someone skilled is needed to flank them when you know they are watching corners.
*This strategy works backwards if they rush office. But the same principle
CT/T: 5 person scrims formations
Each one of these strategies will work, but you have to have confidence in your team. Send each one of your team mates in the same direction each time so you know which part of the map they are working, and when one goes down, you'll either know where it happened so you can flank, and if you are the one about to die chatter on the mic to let your team know if they are rushing or not so they can change directions and counter. (just say rush if they are, you don't have enough time to talk when ur ambushed - your team will know where if its only 5 people).
T - Rushes
1 long hall, 1 back window, 3 rush garage.
1 double doors (either spawn or paper), 1 bathroom/long, 3 main office to spawn.
CT - T's Camping
1 front stairwell, 1 box to window, 1 main office (3 front) / one back yard, one back stairwell (2 rear).
CT - T's Rushing Garage or office
3 hold garage, 1 front stairwell, 1 window to office/box to window
3 hold garage, 1 backyard door, 1 backstairwell
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Try them and see. They work pretty well when performed correctly, and if your team gets comfortable with it (scrim wise) knowing where your fallen team mate was supposed to be when he died, and moving in together (and probably from different directions) to box them in becomes second nature. There is no set perfect plan.
Later,
