Currently i have a acer extensa-5620 with an integrated media accelerator x3100. however i do have a pci and express card slot. could somebody figure out if i can disable my current integrated card and get a new one via my express or pci slot?

yup simple just buy the video card and install it then install the driver for it switch your cable to your monitor to the new video card after its installed then reboot and your done now all you have to do to save some resources is go to your device manager and disable your old x3100

lol then your stuck with that video card you cat replace a laptops video card or upgrade its all integrated into the motherboard

could i use an external moniter? like not use my screen and buy like an external keyboard also? would it work?

yes you can do that but it will nto improve your graphics at all it will only mkae it easier for you thats about it.
