My friend wants to buy CS, but wants to know how much the actual download is from Steam... he doesn't have the source engine installed, if that makes any difference. It looks like on my computer to be a couple of gigs, but surely they compress it for download? Confused

when downloading the game from steam its about 1gb a little sort of that if he is worried about disk space he should plan to use about 3gb if he is only worried about download time with dsl its about 45 min with cable its about 20-30 min with dialup its about 1-2 hours maybe more.
