This subject is more for americans but anyone can chime in.
Do you think we should be buying toyotas, mitsubishis, mazdas, and other forgein cars? I think it will help our economy if ppl bought more fords and other american made cars.
Problem is, american cars are deemed "less efficient/good" as....japanese cars for eg.
I myself own a ford escape 2006 limited.
What you guys think? What kind of car do you drive?

Personally I drive a Honda CRX Del Sol and i would never buy anything other than Japanese cars now because i feel the reliability is amazing! Oh yeah and i'm from England so can't really comment on the US economy!

You think it'd help the ecomony if we bought American manufactured cars? Do you not realize that American's already get a lot of the profit by selling the car? And why should we buy a car that drains a lot of gas, and breaks down easily in the first place?
I love the BMW and Volkswagen. They're both for speed, comfort, reliability, and the Volkswagen saves a lot of money by not draining almost any gas. The companies are almost infallible.

BMW's are also high end cars so you need to take that into consideration

I definitely think we should buy more home made products. I'm originally from Detroit so I know first hand the effects it can have on at least the local economy.

Take that into consideration? Take what into consideration? That's a good thing, isn't it?

No, but most people can. And that's only to say if all BMW's were expensive. I've seen some $20,000 BMWS. Sure, some people can't even afford that, but also some people can't afford a 99 cent hambruger, can they?

lol i think everyone can afford a 99 cent hamburger. Just spend a day begging and eventually ull earn 99 cents.
if u saw a 20,000 BMW than either it was used or its an old model.
I disagree with the most ppl can afford them. Truthfully, can u afford a BMW? My family can but thats because we are higher middle class citizens. If most ppl can afford BMW's and caddilacs, how come i see 67' toyotas and 30 year old oldsmobiles all the time?

If I saw a $20,00 BMW, it's still a BMW, isn't it? Just because its older doesn't mean its bad or broken down.
A lot of people can afford a BMW if they save up money. I can afford a BMW. The reason you see "67's or toyotas" is because they bought that car a long time ago for a decent price. If you have a car that works fine there's no point in buying another one.

i have to disagree with everyone can afford them. If the average american person earns around 50,000 a year and a bmw is 30000 u only have 20,000 to pay for taxes and gas and electricity and water and groceries and personal intrests.
Soo....

I drive a 99 Mazda 626.... I know its an old lady car but she tops off pretty nicely and I can take some mean turns!
I would prefer a Chevy Truck (extended cab and bed!) though....
I guess Im for American cars then at this point.
Just depends what a can afford! >.<

Best car (Design wise)
Volvo XC-90
Except I bet 90% of its owners never use it offroad so it's polluting the world when a road car would do
(looks good though)
